CAST THY BURDEN UPON THE LORD

Psalms 55:22 è “CAST THY BURDEN UPON THE LORD”
·         Psalms 55:1 è What David said that We’re not to doubt God! How easy it is for us to doubt when trouble comes upon us. But doubting God does not give us relief from our burdens.
·         David was going through a difficult time. Absalom plotted rebellion against his father king David.
·         Psalms 55:3-8 è David was in fear, terrified. David was in the depths of despair. A desire to escape the burden will not help us in our burden-bearing.
·         David was losing hope.
·         David was running from his trouble.
·         His gracious words to the saints are in 1 Pet. 5:7

WHEN YOU CAST YOUR BURDEN UPON THE LORD,
1.    God owns your problem. James 4:7 è Let the Lord carry the burden for you! Since the burden is too heavy for you, give it to the Lord to carry. The word cast literally means “to fling or hurl.” It requires and denotes action and effort.
2.    God is in the center of your problem.
3.    My opponents are playing against the Lord. Exodus 14:13, God is advocating your problem, God is fighting your battle.
4.    Proverbs 16:33 è God is going to determine the outcome of my burden.
5.    Matthew 11:28 è God will give you rest from your burden.
