Ø  In John 10:10, we found purpose of Satan.
Ø  We need to be wise as snake.

Ø  Therefore, to be “wise as serpents” refer to the ability of the disciples to avoid unnecessary contact with the “wolves”, and to know how to handle the situation in a way that minimize the ability of the “wolves” to succeed. We as a Jesus’ disciple should not provoke attack from our enemy, but rather behave in such a fashion that frustrates the design of the wicked against us.
Ø  HARMLESS AS DOVES
Ø  To be harmless as Doves” expresses the need of Jesus’ disciples to be above reproach in both conduct and speech.

Ø  1 Samuel 23: David spares the life of Saul > David was wise to escape multiple attack from Saul, but when time came he spares Saul’s life, because he didn’t want to take life of God’s anointed one, and acted as a harmless Dove.

Walk in unity: Lessons from Birds

Communion
·         Isaiah 53:10 > you should do three things daily.
·         1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

1.    Rejoice evermore
2.    Pray
3.    In everything give thanks

·         In Old Testament, there are three compartment of the temple: Outer Court, Inner Court, and Holy of Holies; that are replaced in New Testament, since our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.
·         In everything give thanks, begin to Pray, so God will give you reason to rejoice always.

Walk in unity: Lessons from Birds

·         1 Corinthians 1:10
·         When you see birds flying along in “V” formation, you might consider what science has discovered as to why they fly that way. As each bird flaps its wings, it creates uplift for the bird immediately following. By flying in “V” formation, the whole flock adds at least 71 percent greater flying range than if each bird flew on its own.
·         When the head bird gets tired, it rotates back in the wing and another bird flies point.
·         The bird in formation honk from behind to encourage those up front to keep up their speed.
·         Church who share a common direction and sense of community can get where they are going more quickly and easily because they are travelling on the thrust of one another.
·         God is counting on every member of the body of Christ to do their job.
·         When birds are traveling in a V-formation, we conclude that,

1.    Birds are stronger- 2 Kings 7:3-4- the lepers became strong when they decided together to surrender to the Syrians.
2.    Birds don't travel alone- 2 Kings 7:5- the lepers travel together in Syrian camp.
3.    Birds travel in one direction-2 Kings 7:5- the lepers travel in one direction towards Syrian camp.
4.    Birds are team player- 1 Kings 7:9-the lepers were team player.
5.    Bird’s looks bigger- 7 Kings 7:6-8- four lepers along with God created the noise of great army.
·         You can be weak but we can be strong when we bond together in Christ.

The Power of One

The Power of One
Ø  Ephesians 1: 17-21
§  God’s power lives in you who believe.
·         What kind of Power lives in you?
§  Ephesians 1:19 > the same power that lift Christ from the death, the power that ascends Christ to heaven is lives in you > the condition is, if you Believe.
§  ONE refers to a single person that is YOU.
§  God has created you as a unique person.
§  One is unique because where it begins.
·         How has God blessed you to change our world?
§  You are God’s Mouthpiece.
                                      i.        Mark 16:15 > GO YE > you possess the power to Evangelize.
ii.        Mark 5:18-20 > As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged to go with him. Jesus did not let him, but said, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” So the man went away and began to tell in the Decapolis [ that is, ten cities] how much Jesus had done for him. And all the people were amazed > When you open your mouth to testify God, God will speak through you, and all world will listen.
iii.        John 4: 39-42 > Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.” So when the Samaritans came to him, they urged him to stay with them, and he stayed two days. And because of his words many more became believers > There is no special requirement to be an evangelist. You need to believe the power of God lives in you to testify what God has done in your life.

CHRISTIAN LIFE

1.      2 Corinthians 8:1-2 è In the midst of a trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. Although they were very poor, they were very generous, because of the grace of God. God had given them the willingness to give what little they had, and to do it with joy.
2.      2 Peter 2:9 è The Lord knows how to deliver His people.
3.      1 Peter 1:1-2 è Divine election. Christians are strangers not because men have rejected them, but because God has elected them. Christians are scattered, foreigners, and sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
                               I.            Christians are elect "according to the foreknowledge of God the Father."
The Biblical definition of God’s foreknowledge is different.  It does not mean God’s prior knowledge of what we have chosen.  Rather, it means a specific and intentional action of God loving certain people (Christians) and setting His affection on them alone.
II.            Christians are elect "by the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit."
III.            Christians are elect "that you may obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with his blood."
4.      James 1:2 è what does it mean to save your soul?
To save our soul, we must believe in Jesus Christ as the son of God and Savior of the Church, His body.
                               I.            Our Past, we are sinful è Justification is the process whereby a person is declared to be right before God. Justification is God's act of removing the guilt and penalty of sin while at the same time declaring a sinner righteous through Christ's atoning sacrifice
II.            Present è Sanctification means to be set apart for Holy use. The singular means of God's sanctifying grace is Jesus Christ: "We have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. We will be changed into His perfect likeness – holy, sanctified, and completely separated from the presence of evil.
III.            Future è Glorification is the future and final work of God upon Christians where he transforms our mortal physical bodies to the eternal physical bodies in which we will dwell forever.
Ø  1 Peter 1:2 è when you go to the church, peace and grace is multiplies to you.
Ø  2 Corinthians 5:14 è Mission of reconciliation is given to us.
