SPIRITUAL ATMOSPHERE FOR GOD’S MANIFESTED PRESENCE.

Review
1.       RIGHT FOCUS
2.       RIGHT TIME
Lesson
3.       RIGHT DEDICATION
Ruth’s dedication is an evidence of the Sovereign grace of God, for the only way sinners can be saved is by grace. (Ephesians 2:8-10) Everything within her and around her presented obstacles to her faith. She had a cursed life (Moabites), crushed life (widow) and condemned life. In spite of all these obstacles, Ruth dedicated her life as below.
Ruth 1:16-17
a.    New Determination.  “entreat me not to leave you, Or to turn back.” Ruth 1:16a
b.    New Direction. “…wherever you go, I will go.” Ruth 1:16b
c.    New Dependence.   “wherever you lodge, I will lodge.” Ruth 1:16c
d.    New Desire.  “your people shall be my people.” Ruth 1:16d
e.    New Devotion.  “Your God, my God.” Ruth 1:16e
f.     New Dedication.   “where you die, I will die.” Ruth 1:17a
g.    New Destiny.  “there will I be buried.” Ruth 1:17b

THE ABOVE IS AN EXAMPLE OF ONE’S SWEETEST DECLARATION OF ONE’S FAITH IN THE LORD.
The story of Ruth reminds us that for the Christian, God still writes the last chapter. We don’t have to be afraid of the future. We are living in the trying days today; yet God is at work in His world, getting a bride for His Son and accomplishing his eternal purposes. We see the providence of God at work in the lives of Naomi, Ruth and Boaz.

SPIRITUAL ATMOSPHERE REQUIRED FOR A BREAKTHROUGH

1.     RIGHT FOCUS ON GOD
‘And the Lord restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.’  Job 42:10
     A.      FOCUS ON GOD’S PRESENCE
‘Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.’  Deuteronomy 31:6
      B.      FOCUS ON GOD’S POWER
‘The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.’
Exodus 14:14
      C.      FOCUS ON GOD’S PLAN
‘For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.’ Jeremiah 29:11
      D.      FOCUS ON GOD’S PERSON
‘looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame…’ Hebrews 12:2
      E.       FOCUS ON GOD’S PROMISES
‘…. you know in your hearts and souls, all of you, that not one word has failed of all the good things that the Lord your God promised concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one of them has failed.’  Joshua 23:14

     2.     RIGHT TIME

       A.      DUE TIME
‘As for me, I trust in you, O Lord, I say, You are my God. My times are in your hand.’ Psalms 31:14-15
      B.      FULLNESS OF TIME
‘But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born[a] of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.’
Galatians 4:4-5

Hope

Jeremiah 29:10-14

Ø      The people of Israel were under captivity into Babylon. They were in a strange land. They were so distressed that they could not sing the Lord’s song in a strange land. You don’t feel like singing when all the chances are against you.
Ø      He informed them how long their captivity would last and then promised them a bright future. But God told them he hadn’t forgotten them. I know the plans I have for you. Even the odds of age.
Ø      God promises to be with them, to hear their cries for help, and to deliver them. Although all probability are against you now, I will still bring you through. God’s plan for us overcomes all probability against us. God’s plan is greater than all the chances against you.
Ø      Nobody is too hard for God to save through the gospel. God’s grace is greater than all our sins.
Ø      God’s plan for you extends beyond the grave.
Ø      The same is true of God today. He acts kindly toward His creation, He continues to provide for our needs, and He continues to call us out of the captivity of spiritual darkness.
Ø      The Holy Spirit continues to call people out of captivity to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ through His Word.
Ø      This certainly reveals that even though we are poor, miserable sinners.
Ø      We have rebelled against Him but He still loves us and is promising us a hope and a future.” God has a plan for us, a plan that is bright and gives us both hope and a future.
Ø      God does act kindly toward His people.
Ø      in the midst of some situation and you have become discouraged and hopeless because the chances are against you. You are ready to quit because all chances are against you.
Don’t give up. Don’t quit. Have faith in God. If you have faith in God you can do anything which is according to God’s purpose and plan for your life.
Ø      Jesus says you can move mountains if you have faith. Speak to the enemies that are against you.
Ø      No one can escape of death. But God’s plan for you does not end at the grave. Against all probability Jesus is preparing a place for us in bright mansions above. Against all chances we shall wear a crown when the journey is over.
