Is he your lord of your life?

  • Luke 2:10-12 > God took the most significant event in man's history, the birth of His Son, and clothed it in swaddling rags. God revealed the importance of this birth not by outward spectacle but by the preaching of the Gospel and His Word
  •  Sign of the Christmas > wrapped up in cloth & born in a sub human environment, in the manger
  •  Saying of the Christmas > “do not be afraid.”
  •  It was in a lonely field outside of Bethlehem that this first sermon was preached. The quiet solitude of that ordinary night was shattered when heaven touched the earth
  •  Shepherds were generally considered dishonest. They were unclean according to the law. Their presence at the birth of Jesus was recorded by Luke to show his readers that the good news of the gospel is for the poor, for sinners, for outcasts, for people like these shepherds.
  •  Four titles of Jesus

                                                        i.            Matthew 1::21 > Jesus: savior

ii.            Matthew 1:23 > Immanuel > God is with us

iii.            Matthew 2:2 > he is our ruler; by grace not by law

iv.            Luke 2:4 > Christ > everlasting father

  • JESUS MOTHER SIDE VS. FATHER SIDE

                                                                    i.            From mother side Jesus was the son of man; from father side he was the son of God.
ii.            From mother side He was the seed of David; from father side He was the root of David.
iii.            From mother side He was the seed of Abraham; from father side He was before Abraham.
iv.            From mother side He was hungry, wept; from father side he fed five thousands.
                                                                   v.            From mother side He was Temporal; from father side He is Eternal.
vi.            From mother side He dies at 33.5 Yrs. Of age; from father side He was ancient of days when He was born.
vii.            From mother side He was ordinary; from Father Side he was extraordinary.
viii.            From mother side He got body; from father side he got blood

GOD’s Presence

Palms 42:1-5 Hunger for God’s Presence.
Ø  42:1 > Hunger & cry to come into the presence of god. Hunger for God brings focus to life. It's a sign of true Christian life.

Ø  We are so often overwhelmed by our thoughts of loneliness, by feelings of being separated, or by feeling abandoned by those we love that we can't seem to keep our focus on God.

Ø  42:2 > Only Spiritual people have hunger for God. Besides dead people, the people who are spiritually sick are not hunger for the living god. Hunger is the sign of spirituality. Why is an analogy of deer?

Ø  The deer know when it's being chased by the enemy, the first thing Deer do to find the water, and the moments Deer immersed in the water it lost the smell that the enemy can no longer go after.
What's in the water for us?
Ø  The water is the presence of God. Every morning the Satan has an agenda to attack in your life.

Ø  According to word of God’s, before enemy finds you, you better find God’s presence first.

Ø  When you are outside the presence of god, Satan can smells you and chase you.

Ø  As long as you abiding with God, you are protected.

Ø  Psalms 42:4-5 > hope in God.

Ø  Psalms 42:6 > Jordan in bible represents presence of the Lord

Ø  With god all things are possible; with God nothing can stands against you.
Luke 10:30 what happen if you run away from the presence of God?
Ø  Most of us have goals, objectives, and dreams. Most of us want a good job to move away from the place where God wants to keep you.

Ø  Most of us even know what we want in our relationship with God and the church.

Ø  Jerusalem is a physical sign of God’s presence; settled on the mountain

Ø  Jericho was the place cursed by Joshua; is a cursed place through Joshua; distance between this two cities are 40 mile, and is a symbol of worlds life, represents bondage, slavery, is a city located in valleys.

Ø  He is traveling down life’s road, away from Jerusalem, from presence of God. Some of us seem to believe that if we treat life well, life will treat us well.

Ø  Satan likes nothing better than to attract man into thinking that there is nothing to fear from this life or the life to come. Then sin jumps up from behind a rock and shows itself in all its disgusting wrath and leaves behind a hollow shell of a man under guilt.

Ø  Raiment>righteousness, when you moved from the spiritual blessed place, thieves are waiting from you. The first thing that goes out of you is the hunger for the God, and a next thing is righteousness.

Ø  Sin has stripped you of your righteousness, Satan’s agenda is not to kill you, but he wants to leave you half dead, he wants to keep you guilt.

Ø  In the book of Genesis, Adam was created in the image of God. He was clothed only in the perfection of God and reflected the righteousness of God. But when he trapped under the temptation of Satan, he was stripped of his perfection. His glory became his shame. His loss was so great that he could no longer communicate with God as he had before.

Ø  On the mountain he was above problem and when he goes to Jericho towards downhill journey, he was trapped by thieves. Rivers & thieves are represented as Satan.

Ø  Fortunately for him, however, a compassionate Samaritan came by.

Ø  Samaritan- half Jews - is shadow of Christ - has compassion, was a stranger. And because of his race (Samaritan) he was one who would have been rejected by any self-respecting Jew.

Ø  Mankind, stripped of virtue, wounded, and left alone to face eternity on his own, has also been visited by a compassionate Savior.

Ø  What happen if Jesus is no longer your Lord, and direction of your life?

·         priest came by & pass to the other side then Levi came & passed by other side

·         They were both busy in religious service—People love the church, they love the ministry, they love the conferences, the councils, the committee meeting, they just don’t like dealing with problematic people - there is a difference between religious service and Christianity.

Ø  Luke 10:35, Good Samaritan is Jesus Christ. And In keeper in the bible is the Holy Spirit

·         Christ saw the sinful condition of man. He saw the helplessness of man. He saw the need of man.

·         Christ, moved by compassion and grace, stepped from His throne in Heaven to become the help that sinful man needed.

·         Christ administered healing to man. He came to give hope and promise to all those who had been ravaged by sin.

·         Christ brought man to a proper place for nurturing with the instructions, "Take care of him”.

·         Christ said to Inn Keeper (Holy Spirit), ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’

Ø  Never move away from the presence of God. We have protection from Holy Spirit who prepared us for the second coming of Christ for the eternal life.
